Сadillac review

Critics and internet commenters were both quick to hate on newly appointed Cadillac CEO Johan de Nysschen decision to move the brand’s headquarters to Manhattan. Some accused the veteran auto exec of wanting to relocate the company for his own personal reasons, while others were against the decision as it lures the company from its birthplace in Detroit.

Cadillac will also add wireless charging tech in its CTS sport sedan this fall, and in the Escalade SUV by the end of the year.

In the 1950's buying a Cadillac meant you had arrived, with a Pininfarina bodied Eldorado costing as much as a contemporary Rolls Royce of the day. By the 1990's it pretty much meant you had no taste. I think we can all say it would be a stretch to see anyone paying $500,000 for any Cadillac on the market today.

The 2014 Cadillac ELR is a very nice-looking car. Aside from the grille, which is a little too shiny, the thing is a knockout. It's got a hundred neat little details (little “Cadillac” reliefs in the headlights and taillights, the mirrors glow green when plugged in) that, while they probably don't cost much, make the car feel more special. It's a lot like the C7 Chevy Corvette in that sense.
